I am 100% certain that Sony will soon announce anew 180 Megapixel Medium Format sensor. And the interesting bit for L-mount shooters is that there is a fair chance this very same tech will trickle down to Full Frame sensor. At same pixel size this would mean we could get a 107 Megapixel partially stacked sensor in late 2026 or early 2027.

Both Leica and Lumix have access to Sony sensor so maybe in 2027/2028 we will get a crazy high resolution L-mount camera? Now I know most of you don’t need crazy resolution…still would you get such a camera?

소니의 신형센서에 대한 이야기네요. 현재 파나소닉이나 라이카는 소니센서를 쓰고 있기 때문에, 소니센서 개발 방향에 따라 신형 모델에 탑재될 센서 스펙을 예상할 수 있겠죠.

메인은 2억화소에 가까운 중형센서를 소니가 개발 중이고, 그 센서 덕분에 결국 풀프레임도 1억화소가 넘는 센서 스펙을 가질 것이라는 추측이네요. 이 풀프레임 센서는 2027-2028년도 즈음에는 루믹스 S1R3 혹은 라이카 SL4 에 탑재되겠지요. 화소 경쟁이 여전히 있지만,, 그런 스펙이 현실에서 필요한지에 대한 의문은 여전히 남습니다.

개인적으로는 중형 센서가 개발되고 그게 라이카 중형 미러리스에 탑재되려나… 궁금하기도 하고.

이 소니 센서와 상관없이 라이카는 독자 센서를 또 개발중이니, 서로 갈 길 가지 않을까 싶기도 합니다.

그러면 결국 파나소닉은 소니센서, 라이카는 라이카 센서로 서로 심장이 달라지려나요..?
