A new Leica M camera with an electronic viewfinder is rumored to be announced later this year (2025). I already posted several leaked pictures from a recent Leica survey where they described different design update options, and one of them includes an EVF:

This rumored Leica M EVF camera (not the actual model name) WILl NOT BE the Leica M12. This makes sense  – Leica will keep the M12 as the “classic” rangefinder line and will introduce a new “modern” option with EVF and other changes – for example, only a large touchscreen LCD without buttons:

해묵은 루머이기도 하지만 기간이 언급되서 의미가 있어 보이기도 합니다.

그간의 RF 헬리코이드 시스템상 핀교정이 스트레스 중 하나였는데요.

그 부분이 해결될 수 있는 EVF 탑재 카메라 루머가 또 등장했군요.

매번 등장하기는 하지만 EVF 카메라는 M12 를 의미하지는 않을거랍니다.

아마도 M 은 M 자체로 의미가 있으니 그대로 시스템을 계승할테구요.

아마 새로운 라인업으로 나올 것 같은데 "2025년" 올해 안에 나온다는 겁니다.

괜히 언급할리는 없고 아마도 이번에는 진짜 나오는게 아닐까 싶습니다.

M 마운트에 EVF 탑재라... 많은 유저들은 OVF+EVF 인 하이브리드를 원했겠지만

그렇게는 아닐 듯 싶고.. 여튼 EVF 로 나오면 핀 스트레스는 없어지니 꽤 구미가 당기네요~~
