In 2015, Leica Camera AG launched the Q-Series and introduced a completely new camera segment. Now in its third generation, the compact full-frame Leica Q3, with a fixed focal length of 28mm, inspires people all over the world. At the heart of the new Leica Q3 43 is the specially developed lens. The APO-Summicron 43 f/2 ASPH. not only joins the family of the legendary Leica APO lenses, which rank among the best in the world, but also stands out in the current Leica portfolio. The focal length mirrors the natural perception of the human eye, allowing for the realistic composition of distortion-free motifs through the high-resolution OLED viewfinder. As a result, the versatile 43mm focal length is perfectly suited for street photography and portraits. Like its sister model the Leica Q3, the Leica Q3 43 also features an integrated macro mode for close-ups.

The Leica Q3 43 creates extraordinarily sharp, high-contrast images in any lighting condition and still maintains its compact, lightweight form, even with the complex construction of the apochromatically corrected lens with four aspherical lenses.

The new APO lens delivers superior performance at its maximum aperture of f/2. making it possible to separate subjects from the background with a harmonious bokeh. Combined with its outstanding ISO performance, the APO lens enables short exposure times, even in low light.

Photos and videos can be taken at the 43, 60, 75, 90, 120 and 150mm focal lengths by using the frame lines displayed in the 5.76MP OLED viewfinder, or on the tiltable monitor with the touch function. That way, an image with a resolution of approximately 5 megapixels is created with the highest selectable sensor resolution of 60 megapixels. With the Q3 43 camera, Leica also announced a new Leica Multifunctional Protector for Q3  cameras, which is a dedicated half case that also adds a hand grip and Arca-type plate for tripod mounting. Primarily made from black leather, the case also retains direct access to the battery compartment for easy swapping without needing to remove the case.

Leica BP-SCL6 battery

The Leica Q3 43 uses the BP-SCL6 battery (2200mAh) but is also backward compatible with the old 1860mAh version (it will have reduced battery life and will limit video to 4K).

수없이? 사진이 유출되었던 Q3 43 이 공식 출시되었습니다.

우리나라에는 오늘부터 풀린다는 소문이 있더군요.

며칠동안 계속 찔끔찔끔 사진이 유출되서 살짝? 피로해질 뻔 했습니다 ㅎ

사실상 43mm F2 APO 렌즈에 바디가 붙었다고 봐야 될 가격과 수준이죠.

우리나라 공식 홈페이지에는 11,140,000 원으로 가격 책정되었습니다.

M11 과 동일한 센서를 사용했고 결국 43 미리의 화각과 성능이 기대가 되는 모델입니다.

개인적으로는 광각에 어려움을 느껴 Q2 를 그냥 잊고 사는 수준인데.. 43미리는 Cron-C 를 쓰는 기분 아닐까 싶네요.

그나마 표준화각에 가까운 화각을 출시해줘서 고마울 따름 입니다 ㅎㅎ

회색의 가죽 컬러는 호불호가 좀 나뉘겠지만 Q3 28 과 차이를 두어야하니 어쩔 수 없었던 것 같네요.

혹자는 43 APO 가 아니라 43 팬케익을 넣었어야 했다는 이야기도 하던데.. 어느정도 공감이 되는 부분입니다.

여튼 최근에 M11-D 도 출시되고 하반기에 라이카가 바쁘게 움직이네요~
